Pueblo Fire Station 1

Station #1

Fire station #1 is Pueblo's largest station. It houses Engine #1, Truck #1, Squad #1, HazMat #1, and Chief #3. It serves the primarily the downtown area, although Truck #1, Squad #1, HazMat #1 and Chief #3 respond through out Pueblo.

 

Pueblo Engine 1

Engine #1

Engine #1 is a 1994 Pierce Dash pumper. It carries 500 gallons of water, 20 gallons of foam, and can pump 1,250 gallons-per-minute. It also carries advanced medical equipment, various hand tools, hose, and ladders. Engine 1 is manned by a Captain, Engineer (driver) and Emergency Medical Officer. 

 

Squad #1

Squad #1 was custom-built in 2006 by Pierce Manufacturing, and is based on a Pierce Sabre platform. It is manned by an Engineer and Firefighter. It responds to all special rescues, fires and traffic accidents in the city.  It is equipped with hydraulic rescue tools, high and low angle rescue equipment, and water rescue equipment.  It is equipped with a 25kW generator, and remote controlled, roof mounted light tower, on-board pumps for the hydraulic tools, and room for more equipment than fit on the the previous squad truck.

 

Pueblo Truck 1

Truck #1

Truck #1 is a 1988 Emergency One aerial ladder truck. Its main ladder can extend to a maximum height of 110' above ground. It also carries an array of portable ground ladders, and many hand and power tools. It responds to all fires in the City of Pueblo. It is manned by a Engineer (driver) and a firefighter.

 

Pueblo HazMat 1

HazMat #1

HazMat #1 is a 2000 Pierce Saber, specially built to respond to Hazardous Materials emergencies in and around Pueblo.  It carries no water and does not have a pump, but it carries a large amount of special tools and equipment that are used during a hazardous materials incident.

 

Pueblo Chief 3

Chief #3

Chief #3 is a 2002 Ford F150 pick-up. It is used by the on-duty assistant chief for various administrative duties. The assistant chief also responds to all fires in the City of Pueblo, plus any other incidents that require his presence.
